This Wednesday(October 2), people from borders of China and Myanmar came for celebrating the 13th Sino-Myanmar Pal Festival together.

In its inauguration ceremony, minorities of both countries wearing gorgeous colorful clothes sang and dance for celebration.

The festival that delivers messages of pal friendship between China and Myanmar inheriting from older generation of national leaders had become an eye-catching namecard for Ruili, which is a border port city in western Yunnan.

In the same day, other wonderful events were also carried out by two countries’ governments in Ruili. Carnival parade, colored ox cart display, folk costume competition, peacock dance contest, traditional sports match gave public shows one after another.

Yang Xianghong(杨向宏), mayor of Ruili city, said that although events organized in the pal festival this year were various and splendid, fiscal expenditures this year had been cut down 55% compared to last year.
