Kunyang opens China's largest hot spring park

The largest hot spring park, Overseas Chinese Town Hot Spring Park, has been opened to public on October 26 in Yangzonghai Holiday Resort, Kunyang Town, Jinning County, Kunming. It is also the first public tourism project in the resort of Kunyang.

The newly-built park adds a new hot spring spa destination for tourists who may enjoy discount during the trial operation periods.

Hou Songrong(侯松容), chairman of Overseas Chinese Town Company Limited which is a main investor of the resort said that the project covers an area of 7 square kilometers. The resort includes three resort areas, namely, Santorini Resort Town, Yunnan-Vietnam Rail Cultural Town, Yunhaigu Sport Town.

The hot spring park, situated at the middle section of Santorini Resort Town, covers a land of 120,000 square kilometers. With an investment of 800 million yuan, it has been the largest hot spring park in southwestern China. The park has some professional facilities, such as the European spa with a construction area of 20,000 square meters, 65 featuring pools with outdoor hillside views, and 328 rooms in the Fairlawns Boutique & Spa Hotel.

More than 1 billion yuan will also be invested in some more infrastructure facilities, including commercial streets, bathing rooms, and hot spring communities.

At present, some imported entertainment equipment on the water have been installed, and these facilities are estimated to be in service in the middle of November.

Ticket information:

One-ticket service, 170 yuan for one, is available in the park.

It charges 200 yuan on the weekends or during the national holidays.

The discounted ticket is 140 yuan during the trial periods from October 26 to December 27 at weekdays and 170 yuan on the weekends and during the national holidays.
