[InKunming--Yunnan]  Scenic spots around China usher in a round of surge in entrance prices. Two scenic spots in Yunnan, namely Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang and Cang Mountain in Dali, are included.

Many famous scenic spots in China raised their entrance prices from this September, such as Danxia Mountain in Guangdong Province increased its ticket price from 160 yuan at ordinary times and 180 yuan on holidays to 200 yuan, and Shipu Gorge in Hebei Province increased its price from 35 yuan to 50 yuan for entrance.

Yunnan’s scenic spots also participate in this round of price surge. The entrance fee for Yulong Mountain will go up from 105 yuan to 130 yuan starting from May 10 next year, while the entrance fee for Cang Mountain had risen from 30 yuan to 40 yuan since July 1 this year.

Yunnan boasted its rich tourism resources for years. However, tour cost to travel around Yunnan is still very high, which is mainly due to traffic factor and ticket prices.

For example, Yunnan has 6 National 5A Scenic Spots, which are Stone Forest in Shilin County, Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang, Three Pagodas of Chong Sheng Temple in Dali, Lijiang Ancient Town, Tropical Plants Garden in Xishuangbanna, Pudacuo National Park in Shangri-La respectively. Entrances fees of them are 175 yuan, 130 yuan, 121 yuan, 80 yuan, 104 yuan and 258 yuan in sequence.

Among them, Yulong Snow Mountain, a popular scenic spot in Yunnan, has raised its entrance price two times in the past 4 years. The entrance fee for the scenic spot was 80 yuan per person before 2011, and was heightened up to 105 yuan per person after the Spring Festival in 2011. By May 10 of 2015, its entrance fee will be increased to 130 yuan per person.

The average entrance fee for the 6 scenic spots reaches 145 yuan, yet the average entrance fee for all the National 5A Scenic Spots in China is 109 yuan.
