Kunming deputy mayor meets with Laotian business delegation
[InKunming--Kunming] Kunming deputy mayor Wang Chunyan met with Ward Pengsawan(transliteration name from Lao language), a chairman of Laotian Pengsawan Group, and other delegation representatives on March 27 in Kunming.
The Laotian Pengsawan Group is a renowned private enterprise group in Laos. The enterprise group mainly do business in fields of international trade, woods, hotel, architecture, telecommunications, financing and bank, etc..
According to Wang Chunyan, Kunming has established sister-city relations with Vientiane, capital city of Laos since 2011. China and Laos have cooperated in many fields like tourism, agriculture, personnel training, and police service. Volumes of export and import between Kunming and Laos last year reached 244,760,000 U.S. Dollars, with a 18.5% year-on-year growth.
Mr. Ward Pengsawan said:"Pengsawan Enterprise Group has different amounts of investment in 10 South-east Asian countries. The group has new investment intent in Kunming."
Wang Chunyan responded to Mr. Ward Pengsawan: “Kunming is upgrading its urban functions to Southeast Asia and South Asia along with China's One Belt and One Road development strategy. Kunming welcomes enterprises like Laotian Pengsawan Enterprise Group to invest in the city.”
