[InKunming--Yunnan]  The first intermodal container transport train departed from Shanyao Station of Hekou County on April 14, heading for Vietnam via Yunnan-Vietnam Railway. It marked that Yunnan-Vietnam Railway intermodal container transport was officially opened to traffic.

Yunnan-Vietnam Railway intermodal container transport opens a passageway between Kunming of China with Hanoi, Haiphong Port of Vietnam. It is an important move of Yunnan to take part in China’s “One Belt, One Road” strategy. It will also surely lower logistics cost, as well as provide great convenience for China to connect with Southeast and South Asian areas.

The train that departed on April 14 was filled with Chinese chemical fertilizer.And the train will load and transport Vietnam mineral back to China when it returns.
