Yunnan Tiaocai performance makes debut in British Lancaster House

[InKunming--Yunnan] At local time on October 21, Sino-British Creative Industry Exhibition was held in the grand Lancaster House in Britain, as Chinese present Xi Jinping visited Britain. Chinese artist Sa Dingding (萨顶顶) and 4 performers of Yunnan Nanjian Tiaocai Art Troup made a performance at the exhibition.
Tiaocai, which literally means “dancing when guests are invited to enjoy dishes” in Chinese, is the most high etiquette of Yi ethnic group to entertain guests. It is a model that integrates dance with diet.
The exhibition set 2 performances during its whole course. Tiaocai was one of them. It was also the first time that Tiaocai dance was performed in Europe. Altogether 6 audiences enjoyed the performance, including Chinese president Xi Jinping, Xi Jinping’s wife Peng Liyuan, Prince William, Princess Kate , and 2 entourages.
