7 foreign countries’ performances to surprise citizens at Daguan Park

[InKunming--Kunming] With the approaching of National Day, Daguan Park will witness the grand opening of the 1st Daguan International Cultural Festival on October 1st. This event will last for seven days and end on October 7th.

By that time, professional performance teams from Russia, France, the United Kingdom and other 4 countries will present spectacular performances with their countries’ characteristics for Kunming citizens.

This cultural festival is definitely worth watching for its notably strong cast. For instance, “St. Petersburg’s memory” from Russia is a state-of-art dance troupe as they have won laurels for many times in International competitions. Phat Cat Band from UK, being famous for using violins to the best, will present their new album for visitors.  

Apart from stage performance, street shows in various forms will also be a highlight during this festival. There is no doubt that actors dressed like punk girl and iron man and other characters will surprise coming visitors. Moreover, visitors can taste sorts of delicacies around the world.

Despite exotic cultures, an evening party will be held on the night of Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on October 4th. The party, featuring traditional Chinese culture, includes a variety of performances such as Chinese classics poems recital, Yunnan opera and Beijing opera. It aims to help the audience gain a better understanding of the values in the classical works related to Daguan Pavilion.

The National Day holiday, which coincides with Mid-Autumn Festival this year , will run from Oct 1st to 8th. Daguan Park will extend service time to 10 pm during the holiday. What’s more, visitors can enjoy a 50% discount when they choose recreation facilities like bumper car and carousel. The price of popular activities such as Ferris wheel and speedy windmill will be decreased by 10 RMB on the basis of the original fee.
