Over 80 dance shows perform on 12th National Dance Exhibition

[InKunming--Yunnan] Organized by China's Culture and Tourism Ministry, Yunnan Provincial Government, an opening ceremony of the 12th National Dance Exhibition was held in Yunnan Grand Theatre on the evening of July 11th. 

The National Dance show, the highest-level dance show in China, is held from July 11th to 21st. 80 dance programs and 5 dance dramas selected all over the country have chances to be played at theatres during the exhibition, with a total of 20 performances in Kunming. 7 programs from Yunnan are selected, including Nuoma Amei, Nie Er, Tiaocai Suixiang, etc. Some of the programs will also be played in other cities of Yunnan.

Tian Lu dance drama, which reflects construction progress of Qinghai-Tibet railway, was played after the opening ceremony. With emotional body languages and dances, actors made every character of the drama alive on the stage. Tibetan dance elements were applied in the drama to show Tibetan compatriots' traits--simplicity and stability. Performed with catching background music, this dance drama told a road-building story mixed with love, friendship and family affection.
