[InKunming--Yunnan]  From October 8 to 14,the 2018 FAREAST 28R World Championship will take place at the Fuxian Lake Sailing Training Base in Yuxi City, Yunnan province, and about 26 top sailing teams from 16 countries are expected to compete for the glory of a champion.

The Fareast 28R World Championship is regarded as the top sailing competition in its related field and is directly managed by International Sailing Federation. The first one was held at Malmo, Sweden in 2017, and attracted considerable attention from various industries and media around the world.The championship finally arrives at Yuxi City due to the great efforts made by local government and others.  

A total of 142 participants of 26 sailing teams from 16 countries will participate in the competition. The teams consist of 15 international teams and 11 domestic teams. 

It is said that sailing boats made in China will be used in the world-class competition for the first time. The boats are well-designed and easy-to-control, having gained recognition from home and broad.

Fuxian Lake owns fresh water and gorgeous scenery, which is suitable to host sailing events. Since 2014, several sailing regattas have been held at this lake, and the 2018 FAREAST 28R World Championship is likely to make a huge success here this year.
