Myanmar introduced “Invest Myanmar Summit-2019” in Kunming
[InKunming--Sister Cities] An introduction and marketing meeting of “Invest Myanmar Summit-2019” was held in Kunming on November 9, showcasing various things such as investment information, business environment and latest preferential policies in Myanmar. It is said that the “Invest Myanmar Summit-2019” will be held in the capital city Nay Pyi Taw from January 28 to 29 next year.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and attended by U Thein Han, Vice President of UMFCCI, Mr. Soe Mint Aung, Director, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Mr. Aye Win, Joint Secretary General of UMFCCI and other people.

U Thein Han elaborately introduced eight major industries awaiting for investments and related preferential policies in Myanmar. He also pointed out that it is the best time to invest in Myanmar. The two-day “Invest Myanmar Summit-2019” not only enables investors to explore the potential business opportunities in Myanmar, but also provides a communication platform between investors, local entrepreneurs and government of Myanmar.

Mr. Soe Mint Aung introduced the information of latest business environment in Myanmar. There are growing number of laws which are in accord with international standards in Myanmar.
He stressed that China stands as the biggest investing partner in Myanmar, with 263 investing projects and 1277 investing enterprises. Under the framework of “the Belt and Road Initiative” and China-Myanmar economic corridor, Myanmar government is making efforts to create a better investing environment for investors home and abroad.

At the meeting, U Aye Win recalled his first visiting to Kunming. He was walking on Nanping Street and thought "it looks like the United States". He was amazed at rapid development and great changes in Kunming. He gave a piece of advice to investors. “Good businessmen would seize the opportunity to invest Myanmar.”
