[InKunming--Yunnan] Since January, Yunnan has carried out an event named Yunnan International Tourism Year in the whole province, to spread its culture worldwide and speed up internationalization process under Yunnan provincial government’s guidance.

A director of Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism said that Yunnan’s intangible cultural heritage items, ethnic and folk elements had been put on show in many countries. In the following, we would display Yunnan’s music, games, foods in other countries.

Meanwhile, Yunnan also organized transnational tourism year festival both in the province and corresponding countries, such as to celebrate 2019 China-Laos Tourism Year Festival both in Yunnan and Laos, and celebrate 2019 China-Cambodia Cultural Tourism Year Festival in Yunnan and Laos as well. 

Some other events organized in Yunnan that attract foreign tourists very much include Baba Tasting Festival in Dali, Water Splashing Festival in Kunming, and Rice Harvest Festival in Guangnan, ect.. International flights that connect Yunnan to several foreign cities are also opened, helping Yunnan to upgrade its internationalized level.
