Potatso National Park and West Mountain scenic area reopen
Shangri-La Potatso National Park and West Mountain scenic area of Kunming have reopened on 24th March, after being closed for almost two months due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
West Mountain scenic area
West Mountain of Kunming has reopened its Longmen core area on Tuesday, and visitors can visit there from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. With the threat of cross-infection still a danger, the scenic area has planed to cap its daily visitor numbers to only 50% of its normal capacity. Real name tickets , QR code scanning, maintaining a mutual distance and wearing masks are required for visiting. Electronic payment is highly recommended as well.
The provided tour lines have been limited to a single cycle during the epidemic prevention and control period:
Line1: Longmen scenic entrance - ropeway - Longmen - electric vehicles - Longmen scenic exit
Line2: South gate (Maomaoqing)- Longmen- electric vehicles - ropeway- south gate (Maomaoqing)
Group tourists are asked to make real name reservation in advance. To avoid overcrowding, the tourists number of each group should not exceed 30, and they should not enter the scenic area at the same time.
Potatso National Park
Potatso national park has reopened on Tuesday too. It has reduced its ticket price by 50% and medical workers who can show the valid certification can enjoy free tickets.
The park opens between 8:30 am and 16:00 pm. To avoid cross-infection, visitors need to buy tickets via the internet and they must present a valid ID, have their temperatures taken and wear masks at all times when they are in the park. QR code scanning is also required when entering this area.
