Tulip and peony flowers contend in beauty and fascination
To welcome The 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and show the biodiversity of Kunming, Grand View Park and Tanhua Temple Park in Kunming jointly host the 25th Tulip and Peony Flower Exhibition, and it will last from February 8 to March 8.
Peony is one of the most famous flowers in China and is known as the king of flowers. As the horticulturist have improved the cultivation medium and fertilizers, peonies in the exhibition will have more buds and larger crowns this year, and more peony leaves are retained to provide a more showily colored appearance for visitors.
There are more than 3,000 peonies of 26 varieties on display, and the color includes red, purple, pink and complex. At the same time, 150,000 colorful tulips with 27 varieties planted in patches or pots will be displayed.
Apart from the tulip and peony flowers, tourists can see some garden landscapes and delicate exhibition points, such as “国色天香” and “飞花画琴”. More than 10,000 pots of plants and flowers, including Iceland poppy and Paris daisy, are waiting to be appreciated.
In terms of ticket prices, Daguan Park’s full ticket and half ticket has restored to 20 yuan and 10 yuan respectively since February 1, 2021. Free ticket and preferential policies remains unchanged. Visitors can get the ticket by booking online or buying on site.
During the flower show, visitors who can recite the Lengthened Couplet of Grand View Park within 3 minutes have access to free entry. The one meeting the following four conditions can get a free ticket:
1.Take pictures of tulips or peonies in the park and post them on WeChat or TikTok;
2.At least 6 photos on WeChat or one photo on Tiktok;
3.No less than 50 "likes" from WeChat or 20 "likes" from TikTok;
4.The post on both apps should be positioned.
