“Night watchers” on China-Laos Railway
Late in bleak winter midnight, the wind was picking up in the dark. 48 railway workers as "night watchers" were still working at the Ning'er station of the China-Laos Railway. The railway fine adjustment operation had begun, and due to recent trial runs, the work can only be carried out between 3 am and 8 am when the train stops running.
After a new railway is built, there is always some uneven conditions that eyes cannot inspect. As a result, fine railway adjustments are required to do to smooth the rail line, which ensures the safe operation of the railway and lets passengers enjoy a nice journey.
