Yunnan cross-border e-commerce goods exported via China-Laos Railway freight train for the first time

A batch of 42,200 cross-border e-commerce goods worth 651,100 U.S. dollars departed from Kunming for Thailand via the China-Laos Railway freight train on Mar. 14. It is the first time that Yunnan's cross-border e-commerce goods were exported via the China-Laos Railway. It also marks the official operation of the “Cross-Border E-Commerce + Rail Transport” business model in Yunnan. A company official said that the goods would be exported directly via the China-Laos Railway after the inspection at the local site, which greatly reduces the logistics costs.

First international freight train (from Zhengzhou to Vientiane) launched on China-Laos Railway

The first international freight train (from Zhengzhou to Vientiane) on the China-Laos Railway departed from Putian Station, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, for Vientiane, Laos, on Mar. 15. The operation of the train saves more than half of the time than the traditional maritime transport. It also opens up a convenient channel between Central Plain and Southeast Asia in the fields of multimodal transport, logistics and trade, which further promotes the economic development of Zhengzhou as a hub city.

As the starting point of the China-Laos Railway, Yunnan has been taking advantages of local conditions, seizing the opportunities brought about by the operation of the China-Laos Railway, accelerating the development of warehousing logistics, cold-chain logistics, green food and other forms of business.
