On April 14, the expert group of the China National Intellectual Property Administration conducted an online acceptance of China (Kunming) Intellectual Property Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”), and agreed that the Center passed the acceptance.

The Center is the first prefecture (city)-level protection center in SW China that was approved for construction and passed the acceptance. With an area of 5039.98 square meters, it is located in Kunming Feihu Times Square, at the intersection of Guangfu Road and Feihu Road. The Center will facilitate the integration of Guandu District of Kunming City and the Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone to promote the construction of a new intellectual property service system.

The Center will carry out rapid collaborative protection of intellectual property rights centering on biological products manufacture and intelligent equipment manufacture. The Center will also carry out rapid IPR protection, IPR collaborative protection, IPR operation services, IPR strategic research, IPR talent training and other services.

Based in central Yunnan and facing South and South-east Asia, the Center will build a comprehensive center integrating intellectual property protection, service, exchange, training and cultural communication, provide a one-stop service for intellectual property creation, application, protection and management, and enable the Kunming Area to become a new hub for intellectual property service.
