Tibetan Butter Sculpture: an essential custom of Tibetan art
Made from Tibetan butter, Tibetan butter sculptures can be delicately ornate sculptures in the shape of Buddha statues, figures, landscapes, pavilions, birds and animals, flowers, and trees. When there are big religious events held in Tibetan Buddhist temples in Diqing, making Tibetan butter sculptures is an essential traditional custom.
