Recently, a group of "elves", including egrets and cattle egret (bubulcus ibis), visited the green rice paddy fields in Eryuan County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The flocks of egrets sometimes flew in the sky freely, or looked for food in the rice paddy fields, which formed a quiet scene described in an ancient poem, "egrets flying in paddy fields".

In recent years, Eryuan County has coordinated the management of mountains, rivers, forests, fields and lakes, and continued to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization. The mountains have become greener, the water has become more clear. The improvement of the ecological environment has steadily increased the number of various egrets year by year.
