On Dec 5, Zhao Xuefeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and the Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area met with Wanghui, Deputy Head of AR/VR Product and Customer Coordination Group of BOE, Shan Qingshan, the General Manager of Yunnan Chuangshijie Photoelectric Technology Co. Ltd. and Xian Hongwei, the Executive Director of Kunming Branch of Beijing Electronic Zone High-tech Group. Both sides exchanged views on the development of the digital economy industry of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area (hereinafter referred to as New Area).

Zhao said that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, New Area had established a development system with reasonable layouts and distinctive characteristics. In order to shore up the weak links regarding industrial infrastructure and core industrial chains, and attract more high-end leading enterprises to settle in New Area, a plan to push for the development of the digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area during the 14th Five-Year Plan period is issued. The plan aims to develop "a highland of digital economy industry in Yunnan province, a digital transformation demonstration zone toward South Asia and Southeast Asia and a digital governance pilot zone in Yunnan Province" so as to seize the opportunity of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation and promote the strategic development of integrated clusters of emerging industries.

Zhao expressed his gratitude to the three enterprises for their long-term contributions to developing the digital economy industry in New Area. It is hoped that as "leaders" in this field, enterprises continue to focus on New Area, strengthen the industry and expand the business to achieve greater development. Meanwhile, it is also hoped that enterprises help New Area carry out business promotion and enable the digital economy's industrial chains to be extended, supplemented, and strengthened in New Area. New Area fully supports the project construction, continues to improve the business environment, and attracts talents and projects through "talent condos" and the talent development system and mechanism reforms to create a "fertile soil" for the growth of enterprises and promote the realization of win-win development.
