Connecting Indonesia's capital Jakarta and the city of Bandung, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway will not only facilitate travel but also bring benefits to local people.

As a landmark project under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, the railway has provided jobs for many locals during its construction.

With a design speed of 350 km per hour, the railway will cut the journey between Jakarta and Bandung from over three hours to around 40 minutes.
