Celtis tetrandra trees by the Daguang River

In late autumn, it's the perfect time to admire the autumn leaves in Kunming. Along the banks of the Daguang River in Kunming, the celtis tetrandra trees have started to "dress" in gold, showcasing the beauty of autumn on their branches. Walking along the riverside, you'll be amazed by the stunning sight of lush celtis tetrandra trees with yellow and green leaves. Under the sunlight, they harmoniously complement the lucid water of the Daguang River. 

Celtis tetrandra tree, also known as "Sirui Pu" or "Kunming Pu," is a local tree species in Yunnan. With its grand stature and remarkable ornamental value, it can be found along many roads and in various parks in Kunming.

The autumn breeze is refreshing, and the autumn colors are delightful. If you haven't taken the time to appreciate them, just plan a visit to the banks of the Daguang River, where you can walk across the stone arched bridges spanning both sides, pick the swaying leaves in the breeze, and see the playful egrets seeking food... Appreciating the beauty of autumn in Kunming.

Metasequoia trees by the Cailian River

In the early morning, the surface of the Cailian River shimmers with gentle ripples. Rows of yellowing metasequoia trees stand upright among the green leaves, creating a vertical spectacle along the riverbank. The morning light brushes over the metasequoia trees, their towering figures reflected in the water like a vibrant and radiant autumn scene depicted by Van Gogh. Along the winding paths on both sides of the river, one can leisurely stroll or sit quietly by the river, listening to the birds' songs, feeling at ease and content.

Ginkgo trees at Daguang Park

During late autumn, the ginkgo leaves along some parks and roadsides in Kunming become popular spots for locals to take photos. However, many people may not know that Daguang Park is home to a dedicated ginkgo avenue. The ginkgo trees along this approximately 100-meter path are turning yellow, creating a romantic and serene atmosphere perfect for strolls.

It is understood that Daguang Park has planted over 1,000 ginkgo trees, with a history of 24 years. The best time to admire the ginkgoes is from November to mid-December.

Looking up at the sky, the sunlight filters through the branches, revealing a golden world. Find a bench to sit on, take a moment to rest, and listen to the chirping of insects and birds.
