Come to admire blooming rhododendrons in Shangri-La
Every year from late May to mid-June, Shangri-La turns into a sea of flowers. Colorful and vibrant rhododendrons, stellera chamaejasmes, galsang flowers, and other flowers bloom one after another, creating a stunning contrast between the blue sky, white clouds, and green grass, attracting numerous visitors to stop by and admire the view.
On the grasslands of Xianren Cave in Jiantang Town, Shangri-La City, small rhododendrons bloom like ablaze. Pink rhododendrons against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds create a breathtaking highland painting.
Since May, the vast meadows of Xiaozhongdian Town in Shangri-La City have been covered with rhododendrons in varied colors. Clusters of low-lying rhododendrons bloom in the wind, their pink petals glistening with dewdrops. Cows, sheep, Tibetan houses, and villages dot the landscape. Looking up at the blue sky and white clouds and gazing at the lush mountains and lucid waters, every corner is a beautiful scene, as if stumbling into a mythical fairyland. Waves of local residents and tourists from home and abroad come to enjoy the spring outing, admire the flowers, and take photos.
