On the morning of April 14th, the Mohan Water-Splashing Festival will commence at the plaza in front of Mohan Railway Station. Local residents from all ethnic groups will join hands with distinguished guests and travelers from afar, showering one another with auspicious droplets through the medium of water. Immersed in the jubilant revelry of water festivities, participants will collectively experience the unique cultural splendor of this time-honored tradition.

In addition, the villages of Mohan will co-host a pop-up ethnic bazaar, offering a dazzling array of Southeast Asian delicacies, authentic ethnic cuisine, fresh tropical fruits, exquisite traditional attire and unique Dai ethnic handicrafts. Laoyuhe National Wetland Park

From April 11th, spanning four consecutive days, the "2025 Kunming First Laoyuhe Leye Water-Splashing Carnival" will take place in Laoyuhe National Wetland Park. This vibrant celebration will feature a spectacular water-splashing carnival, a high-energy spring EDM (Electronic Dance Music) show, a viral showcase of intangible cultural heritage through traditional song and dance, and a heart-pounding classic concert. Laughter will echo throughout the park, and joy will ripple through every corner of Spring City. Below are the four themed highlights of the festival.

On April 12th and 13th, the central square of Yong'an Old Street in Anning will come alive with a Dai-EDM carnival, drawing thousands of people. The national dance troupe will take the stage, reaching new heights. Traditional customs blend seamlessly with electronic beats, transforming the stage into a vibrant Dai dancing scene. Rose essential oil is infused in the water-splashing area, giving the spray its own delightful fragrance!

In addition to enjoying the refreshing spray, Yong'an Old Street has prepared an unforgettable food feast for you during this water-splashing festival. From traditional flavors to trend sensations, from local specialties to exotic delights, more than 100 kinds of popular online food will be on offer, such as ins-style desserts, creative fusion dishes and hand-made workshops, gathered together to present a peacock banquet on the old street, and then have a cup of Paoluda, which is sweeter than first love!

Yunnan Nationalities Village

From April 10th to 14th, Yunnan Nationalities Village will be transformed into "Water Instrument Peak Paradise"! On the New Year's Day of the 1387 Dai calendar, immerse yourself in a unique blend of traditional folk customs and trendy activities. The Dai, De'ang, Achang and Bulang ethnic groups will parade in vibrant costumes throughout the festival, showcasing peacock-feather-themed sprinklers along the Dianchi Lake, and engaging with the singing and dancing flash team. The rural street market will feature a diverse array of multi-ethnic food, including Dai-style grilled fish, Lahu-style roast chicken wings, Bai-style fried milk fans and other local delicacies to create a "Yunnan on the tip of the tongue" carnival.
