The Baili Chunqiu Urban Lifestyle Festival truly embodies Kunming’s way of life!

Where historic architecture harmonizes with modern cultural life,
music and laughter intertwined.
Inside the Baili · Chunqiu Spring City Parlor at the Kunming Confucius Temple,
a lifestyle festival has been unfolding,
spanning the months of August and September.

From exhibitions and lectures to markets and workshops, featuring bread, coffee, music, and flowers – this festival, encompassing cultural exhibitions, expert talks, hands-on workshops, and live music performances,
fully embodies the "Spring City Lifestyle."


Life wouldn't be complete without engaging exhibitions and good books.
During the "Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life"—Baili · Chunqiu Urban Lifestyle Festival,
a series of high-quality literary and artistic events made their debut.
Professor Jin Ziqiang delivered a captivating lecture titled "The Past and Present of Kunming," guiding attendees on a journey through the city's rich historical tapestry.

Fan Wen, Chairman of the Yunnan Writers Association,
hosted thematic lecture on his "Tibetan Trilogy"
and the book launch of his new book, "Ladder to the Clouds,"
allowing the charm of literature to permeate the parlor.
Themed book exhibition “Show Your Old Good Days: Encounter Your City Story in the Present”
evoked fond memories of Kunming's past.

The "Meow Pop Art" contemporary exhibition showcased the blend of art and life from a unique perspective,
while the "Sketching Kunming" exhibit captured the city's atmosphere and humanist spirit
through vivid and expressive drawings.

Life in Kunming
is vibrant and bustling.
The festival meticulously curated a range of bazaars and experiential activities,
allowing participants to immerse themselves in Kunming’s warmth.

Bazaars featuring independent designers and artisans
converge the essence of living aesthetics and local culture.
from crafting handmade robots and making traditional sachets to enjoying freshly baked goods and floral coffee –
activities that kept participants lingering.

Yoga, stargazing, and other experiential activities offered a sanctuary amidst the bustling city life.
Notably, the "Star & Moon Night" astronomy event,
held during the Qixi Festival,
fostered a poetic dialogue between cosmic science and Chinese legend.

The greatest highlight of the Baili · Chunqiu Urban Lifestyle Festival
was the seamless integration of historical spaces and contemporary life.
The historic landmark of Kunming Confucius Temple
was brought to life,
evolving into an urban cultural complex.

As of May 2025,
Kunming has established 324 new cultural spaces,
19 of which were recognized as among the "Most Beautiful Public Cultural Spaces". These spaces
offer fresh ways to experience "Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life"
and enrich the content of "Eternal Spring amidst blooming flowers."
