Football Meets Tourism: Kunming Offers Scenic Discounts with Yunnan League Tickets

A high-profile Yunnan Football City League match will take place in Kunming this weekend. To enhance the experience of football fans and participants in Kunming, culture and tourism departments of Kunming have partnered with over 30 scenic sites and sectional hotels to launch an unique cultural and tourism promotion. People who hold valid game papers or tickets can get several ticket waivers and discounts before and after the match date.

It is reported that the offers are mainly available for these two groups of people: individuals with valid YFCL credentials such as competition cards and coach certificates, and spectators with valid tickets for the current season. Eligible tourists are able to get the discounts at the verification counters of participating scenic sites by relevant documents and personal ID cards. Most of the offers are valid for 7 days before and after the match date.

Among the announced offers, some offer policies of scenic sites are substantial. For instance, Yunnan Nationalities Village grants free daytime and evening admission to participating athletes and coaches, while ticket holders receive special discounts on entrance and performance tickets. Kunming Sunac Ocean Park provides 50 RMB discount on adult tickets. Additionally, well-known scenic spots like Stone Forest Scenic Area, Guandu Ancient Town, Yulong Bay and Songlu Tribe provide different forms of price reductions or consumption discounts.

Based on Kunming’s home match, the culture and tourism departments have also recommended several leisure routes connected to the stadium. Within one to two kilometers of the venue, scenic spots like the Green Lake Park, Yunnan Military Academy History Museum and Kunming Old Street are clustered, the spectators are allowed to take short trips before or after the game. On the other hand, iconic spots like Haigeng Dam, West Hill Park, and Dounan Flower Market offer diverse options. Furthermore, a number of local hotels have rolled out themed accommodation packages of watching seagulls to complete the hospitality experience.
