October is the time to experience glorious autumn at Jianhu Lake of Dali, Yunnan Province. Ottelia acuminatas, a type of white flower with yellow stamen, are in full bloom on lake water, swaying with the flow. Among ottelia acuminatas are fishermen busy fishing in the backdrop of blue sky and the reflection of zizania latifolia on the water surface. What stunning autumn scenery!

In recent years, Jianchuan County has stepped up comprehensive conservation and governance of Jianhu Lake, increased funds for more ecological projects in Jianhu Lake basin, carried out sewage interception and treatment projects of Jianhu Lake, and built lakeside ecological wetlands. The ecological environment of Jianhu wetland has seen continuous improvements with increased biodiversity. 600 mu (around 40 hectares) of ottelia acuminatas community has been restored, with 268 species of birds observed. Jianhu Lake has gained more popularity and influence.
