As one of the busiest night markets in downtown Kunming, Nanqiang Night Market brings together famous snacks from various cities and regions in Yunnan, as well as Southeast Asian cuisine, traditional handicrafts, clothing, and daily necessities. Every night, street performers put on shows here, attracting crowds of visitors.

This is a paradise for young people, where the sizzling sounds of kebab, the bargaining between vendors and customers, and the soulful singing of street performers mingle to form a warm and charming urban nocturne.

Features: A night market surrounded by flowers that operates 24 hours per day

The Dounan Flower Market at night offers a romantic and pleasant atmosphere. Here, flowers are cheap, you can buy them just like buying vegetables at a farmer's market, you can also taste a variety of local specialties, such as pea starch jelly, cold rice noodles, and ice jelly. Under the night sky, with crowds of people, vendors are calling out their wares, and customers are bargaining for prices. Compared to daytime, the night breeze at Dounan Flower Market is gentle, and the scent of flowers lingers in the air, adding to the charm of Kunming.

Nearly ten thousand people participate in transactions at Dounan Flower Market every night, starting with bulk trading of flowers of all categories from 7:00 pm, followed by workers sorting, packaging, and distributing the flowers from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am the next day, when logistics trucks deliver them to various places. At around 4:00 am every day, flower wholesale transactions begin, followed by retail transactions of fresh-cut flowers starting at 8:30 am, making Dounan Flower Market a 24-hour operation.

Features: A trendy and emerging night market

As night falls, the vibrant night economy makes Yunfang Cultural and Creative Park even more lively. The park offers seven major nighttime economic activities, including nightclubs, gourmet food, museums, theaters, and more, all with a unique Yunfang flair. Every night in the small theater, popular cultural performances such as stand-up comedy, avant-garde drama, and concerts are held. High-end KTV, 24-hour gyms, and 24-hour urban libraries also attract many young people.

Features: A food paradise for foodies

Yuanxi Road, a street that is about 500 meters long. After strolling down the street, your mouth will water from the variety of food on offer, such as roasted pig's feet, takoyaki, chicken oil rice, rose lemonade, fried tofu, and pickled vegetables... It's truly a foodie's paradise!

Features: A place of millennium historical charm

In Kunming, there is a quaint town in the southeast suburbs that fulls of strong historical and cultural atmosphere amidst its bustling streets: Guandu Ancient Town. The town has a well-connected network of streets and alleys, including nine major pedestrian zones such as Miaoxiang Street, Zhuangyuan Street, Jingang Street, and Baoxiang Street, incorporating Guandu's unique cuisine, snacks, bars, inns, ethnic handicraft workshops, intangible cultural heritage, and ancient Dian opera.

On November 1, 2014, the Guandu Ancient Town Cultural Tourism Street Bar and Food Night Market opened. The night market offers a wide variety of local specialties, including barbecue, cold rice noodles, pea noodles, fried potatoes, Guandu Baba, and small hotpot rice noodles. In the night, Guandu Ancient Town exudes its thousand-year-old historical charm, showcasing its distinctive beauty.

Features: A long-standing night market with a variety of goods and snacks

At 5:30 pm, the Daguan Night Market opens for business. People carrying suitcases, folding beds, and pushing carts gather in the square. Amidst the bustling crowd, hundreds of stalls sell grilled, fried, and boiled food, creating a lively scene.

As one of the most important neighborhoods in the hearts of Kunming locals, the Daguan Street Cultural and Commercial Street not only offers a variety of goods and delicious snacks, but also embodies the most authentic pulse of the city.
