Dianchi Lake Greenway: Autumn Cycling and Walking Route

The 108‑kilometer Dianchi Lake Greenway connects seven pedestrian bridges and four historic villages. Post‑holiday traffic is lighter, and seasonal reed beds and conifer stands remain in color.
The greenway offers open views along the route, framing the shimmering expanse of Dian Lake. Whether you're cycling through the breeze or strolling along the shore, it's a chance to immerse yourself in the fresh air and feel the soothing power of nature.

Recommended route: Rent a bicycle (with multiple rental stations along the route) and start from the entrance near Haigeng Dam. Head southeast to connect highlights like Haihong and Baofeng Wetlands, enjoying a seamless "Greenway + Wetlands" experience in one trip.

Connected to Haidong Wetland, Baofeng Wetland was a filming location for "Running Man". The discreet bird-watching corridors offer peaceful opportunities to spot native birds.
The reed marshes and sprawling lawns are perfect for picnics and kite-flying, while the golden hour on a clear day offers fantastic photo opportunities. You can also enjoy boating, set up a tent for a picnic, or visit the park's restaurants and cafes. There's even a playground to keep the children entertained.

The morning light is perfect for photography, while evenings are ideal for sunsets and letting kids play in the water or try catching fish. The northern part of the wetland connects to the Dianchi Lake Greenway, and you can also cycle to Haiyan Village to witness the spectacular "molten gold" sunset.
