寇子皓,1953年12月生于昆明,祖籍湖北安陆。上世纪70年代初拜著名山水画家闫甫先生为师,学习传统山水画,对石涛、髡残、黄宾虹的技法下功颇深,远追元人山水笔意。80年代初毕业于重庆建筑工程学院。无论是当知青、上大学、还是进机关、办企业,再忙他都没有放松过书法和山水画的基本功练习。
Kou Zihao, born in December 1953 in Kunming, was born in Anlu, Hubei Province. In the early 1970s, Mr. Yan Fu, a famous landscape painter, was a teacher. He studied traditional landscape paintings. He made great contributions to the techniques of Shi Tao, Kui Disabled and Huang Binhong, and pursued the landscape brushwork of Yuan Dynasty. He graduated from Chongqing Institute of Architectural Engineering in the early 1980s. No matter when he was an educated youth, going to college, entering an office or running an enterprise, he never relaxed the basic skills of calligraphy and landscape painting.
上世纪90年代中期,寇子皓带着已逐渐成熟的传统笔墨技法开始走进生活,每年都有几个月时间往来于云南和国内名山大川旅行写生,尤其对“茶马古道”沿途风光情有独钟,几乎走遍了怒江、澜沧江、金沙江流域“茶马古道”经过的地方,积累了写生稿和影像资料数以万计。由此而创作的“茶马古道”题材山水画极具艺术感染力,引起社会关注,受到业界人士的赞誉,部分作品被海内外友人收藏。
In the mid-1990s, Kou Zihao began to walk into life with his mature traditional brush-and-ink techniques. Every year, he traveled to and from Yunnan and famous mountains and rivers in China for several months to sketch life. Especially, he was fond of the scenery along the "Tea-Horse Ancient Road". He traveled almost all over the places where the "Tea-Horse Ancient Road" passed in the Nu River, Lancang River and Jinsha River valleys, and accumulated sketches and video resources. There are tens of thousands of materials. As a result, the "Tea Horse Ancient Road" theme landscape paintings have great artistic appeal, aroused social concern, received praise from the industry, and some of the works were collected by friends at home and abroad.
作品入编《当代中国画名家全集——山水篇》、《中国写生作品集》等典籍,发表于《鉴藏》、《世界知识画报》、《中国收藏》、《时代人物》、《当代中国画》、《春城晚报》等报刊,“银杏村之秋”获2013年第13届纽约国际艺术博览会金奖,昆明电视台曾对其艺术成就做过专题采访报道。
His works were included in the Complete Works of Contemporary Chinese Painters - Landscape Pieces, Collections of Chinese Sketches and other classical books, published in Jianzhong, World Knowledge Pictorial, China Collection, People of the Times, Contemporary Chinese Painting, Spring City Evening News and other newspapers. The Autumn of Ginkgo Village won the Golden Prize of the 13th New York International Art Expo in 2013, which was awarded by Kunming Television Station. Artistic achievements have been covered by special interviews.

In his artistic creation, Kou Zihao insisted on Inheritance and innovation as the basis, advocated that mood dominated the painting and emphasized the positive atmosphere. In his creative explorations, he has achieved a correspondence with life, in harmony with the times and in resonance with nature; while inheriting excellent cultural traditions, he has organically combined the connotation of Chinese culture with modern ideas, emphasizing culture, personality and spirit.
